Report day is dated on 26th Nov.2009 (Thursday).

The time scheduled during the report day for St.Margaret's school is as follows:

7:30 am ---Assembly
8.15 am --- class cleaning
9.00 am --- reports to be given
9.30 am --- Meet parents

Cambridge IGCSE Physical Education

A course on Cambridge IGCSE Physical Education was being conducted by the University of Cambridge International Examinations in Brunei, at the Gymnasium of Maktab Sains. And i attended it.

Talking about Maktab Sains, the facilities there amazed me. Although its not that PERFECT..But it is way better than some school. However, no comparison should be made. They have the budget and all..

Back to the course which i have attended.......this course was talking about having P.E (Physical Education) in form 4 and 5. Imagine...P.E was not even a subject before..and now...P.E is going to have theory test and even practical test. Can students take it??

Well, I think its a VERY good thing actually. Because it could help to improve the standard of living and health of Students/ people in Brunei. There are a lot to be done to have P.E being brought into form 4 and 5 as a subject which is as important as other subjects. Few school in Brunei, in Bandar Seri Begawan is going to work on the scheme next year. Wish them luck!!

Throughout the two days, during the course..teachers were actually being briefed on how and what to teach from the syllabus as well as how to assess and mark the students. Students are actually being filmed when they do their practicals. That is a must...as an evidence and the films are to be sent to Cambridge.

On 18th Nov. 2009....teachers are to assess and put the students according to their rank, level and marks. This is where teachers are to be very very very observative....

In event of the Teacher's day celebration, teachers from St.Margaret's School was being treated for a lunch at RBC, by the school, on 16th November 2009. U know.... Royal Brunei Catering (RBC ). Cool right??? Well, the food was Okay for me...BUT the dessert was SUPERB. YUmmmmm...

There were exchange of gifts after the meal. Funny thing is there was someone who gave CD movie as a gift..and Cikgu Syawal unluckily chosen that gift. But then all the gifts are worth B$10. :) Everyone enjoyed themselves.... ^^

The Brunei Basketball Association will be organizing the Basketball Youth Cup starting 21st November 2009.

There are going to be two categories: U-18 and 18-23. One important thing is that players should have a valid Brunei issued identity card. The entry fee is $200 per team.

Well, once again and most probably, most of the gold united players or MJ players are joining for the tournament (under 23). Gold united basketball team which was led by JOTUN MING..and MJ who was led by Lee Hung Yi..will be joining "forces" again to play some games. :D

coming up........

Coming up is the basketball tournament at BSRC..3 on 3. By looking at the entry forms and the rules and regulations, it sounds fun. My friends and i are not gonna miss it. we're going to join it.

Date: Sunday, 1st November 2009
Time: 8:00am to 9:00pm
Venue: Panaga indoor basketball court

Each basketball team can have a maximum of 7 players. Each game is of 2 halves, where each half consists of 7 minutes of playing time. There are more rules and regulations which are just too long for me to state it out to share it here. There is also 3 sec violation...free throws..and most important and exciting part is..loser's ball. I guess its gonna be a long and fun game.

A short update...

Pyrogen basketball team...sponsored by JEff goo jia Jie's daddy...Goo Han Leong, is playing for the under 23 basketball tournament in new village.

SO far, after 3 games, which were against yun hin trading co, chicken king and tribal from k.b ....pyrogen won. Next game will be tomorrow which is against white haven...who eye for champion. :) pyrogen will give them a tough game..i believe!!

Other than that...schools are having SPN-21 exams for the year 8 (sec.2)..i assume. because St.Margaret's is conducting that now. So, good luck to those who are having exams. ALrite...till here..

Another basketball tournament is coming up which is the under 23. Well, heard that many teams are joining. :) Pyrogen is joining too..The tournament is going to start on 11Oct 2009... ^^. Same venue...NEW VILLAGE BASKETBALL COURT.

Wednesday....not a good day..

Wednesday..not a good day for me..because i have to handle two of the noisiest class which are the pri 2A and 3B in a row.. goshh...i was having headache..not the headache u got when u are feeling unwell. Its the feeling u get when u r VERY angry..and the BLOOD pumps hard right to ur head. I always scold the children, but then they pretend they couldn't hear u..they have their own world. So, people...if u think being a teacher is that easy..u come n try.


Some of my friends said.. "wah....kuang, become teacher la..suang la..easy job.." Well, i just go on with it..thinking ok..ya lo..easy job. But then honestly n seriously, come n try it urself. ESPECIALLY try n teach Primary Section. So, teachers out there...i understand how u feel. And also to teachers who taught me..sorry!! haaha..i maybe was one of the students who make teachers angry. :D

Anyway, school has started and screening of students for temperature to find out whether they are infected by H1N1 had been stopped. So...everything has gone back to NORMAL. But yea...people, please do still take care of urself. We never know what is going to happen next after H1N1. There virus are on their way to mutate. So yea...Scientists out there..do ur best!!

Before i forget...best of luck to ALL the PSR students, PMB students, O'level Students and as well as A'level students....BEST OF LUCK IN UR EXAMS!!!!!!!!! AIM FOR A!!!

U-21 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT HAS COME TO AN END....

13th September 2009 was the end of under 21 years old basketball tournament....

GOld united vs Easyway...but lost..by 4 points in the finals. So, meaning Gold united only came up to be the first runner up. Well, its the process that matters i guess...what the team had learnt from the matches played. The 'experience" gained is the most important thing. :) Alright..congrats to GOld united and also Easyway...

Their aim is to let the younger players to play although the tournament is an open tournament.. :) Soon lee played one game against charity A and lost by 11 points. All players played well...especially wen siang, ming yang and also the boss (ah ming). Well, there are 4 more games to play....the schedules are as follow:

Weekend mood..

Its almost Saturday now..two days away from today (Thursday). Anyone in the weekend mood now? Well, Saturday (22nd August 2009) is a public holiday. Starting Monday (24th August 2009), students and teachers will get to go home earlier. Lesson time is being shortened. So, to all the Muslims, advance Happy Puasa.

BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT (UNDER 18) is coming up. I think it starts today?? Im not very sure because i'm not playing. Over the age limit..so..too bad. haha!! Well, good luck to those who are playing.

There is also one tournament coming up in September which is the under 21 basketball tournament. If not mistaken, it starts at 3rd September 2009. (Correct me if i'm wrong) That i'm playing. Again under the same team..GOLD UNITED..the same players, i assume. :D BOTH events are going to take place at NEW VILLAGE'S BASKETBALL COURT. Mostly at night time i guess. Always start at 7pm....

Its August...wow..how fast. Time really passes really fast. Well, jus want to get something onto my blog.

Good luck to those who are playing for the under 16 basketball tournament. As i know,some of the boys from St.Margaret's Schoool are playing..Well, good luck to u guys!!

And also good luck to those who are sitting for the A'level (Qualifying exams), do your best and GOOD LUCK!!!

Alright..gotta go now..have to reach school early for screening the temperature. H1N1 is still on..Haiss....shoeeeeeeeeee H1N1..

Silence in the School......

It has been a week...the school has been empty..without students. Teachers have been working in the staff room only.



When school reopens, there won't be any physical education for the students as there are no out door activities allowed, to avoid any direct contact of the students. Not sure also..because same goes to classroom...students are packed inside. hmmmmmmmmm.....wondering.. :D

There will be checking of temperature at the entrance of the school...for St.Margaret's school..and its the same to all the other schools too. :) But im wondering...checking the temperature also won't promise that You're free from the virus A(H1N1). One will show symptom at a later time...so..if at that certain time..no symptom shown..meaning that particular person will escape from being quarantined. Plus those who show symptom should just go to the hospital...not to school. :) Well,its too hard to say and find out a better or best solution to overcome the problems faced. Let students to go to school...will expose them to the virus...but don't allow them to go to school will result them in missing their syllabus. hmmmmmmm....

So, hopefully...students in Brunei are fit....coming back to school healthily...and stay away from H1N1. :D All the best to everyone...take good care. May the school be 'alive' again soon, plus free from H1N1. ^.^v

Setia motors won by one point..against stingers..didnt watch the game..heard Guo Zhang was the hero...A three point shoot at the last few secs. Cooll...

Lost!!!!!!

SHYT basketball team had lost in the semi...against..Setia Motors. Not sure the score...didn't really look at the score...doesn't matter at all. The end point is still lost in the game!! sigh...Why?? For me...there is some other factors..Never want to say it out.But definitely not players fault!!! Because players inside the court had played their role...which is to play their BEST! What i am trying to say is factors from OUTSIDE the court!!!!!!!!!! god man!!! shyT!!!!! i mean reali SHIT!!! One more factor is that the jerseys were of same colour...almost...how to see and find players??? lol..

But yea...everything is over...just move forward and play well SHYT!!! DOnt give up. Or else...it will be really SHYT!!!!!!!!

too BaD...........

Its 29th June 2009...students are supposed to come back to school for lessons. However, as a precaution against more spread or any spread of A(H1N1), students are not allow to go to school. And they are to stay at home. Plus...reduce socializing, especially those who are sick. Therefore, students are told to come back on 6th July 2009, which means holidays are being extended.

While students are having holidays, teachers are back to the school to do their duty as usual. Preparing school works and more.....

And also...due to the extension in holidays, annual sports for st.MArgaret's school has been postponed........TO 1st August 2009 (Saturday).

So...yea...students enjoy at home...stay at home...don't go out too aften...minimize socializing activities. :D And stay healthy and fit...........tata.... ^.^v

CONGRATULATION TO SHYT BASKETBALL TEAM !!!

SHYT is going into the semi finals...which will be played on TUesday..i think. XD

Shyt has won against soon lee...it wasnt an easy game...both teams need to win to get into the semi final. But SHyt players played their very best...in the end...won Soon lee by 2 points. A very nice game indeed. So, SHYT players, well done!!! Congratulations!!!!

Hopefully, sHYT can perform wel in the semi final too..i think SHYT will be playing against..Setia motor...apparently the players are of national players. hmm....SHyt...will play their very best. XD

SHYT basketball team has 4 games to play...ANd so far 2 was over. One win one lose.

SHYT won againsts SSL 63 to 36.

SHYT lost to illongo Stingers by 12 pts...which is 79 to 91. It was a VERY nice game. Ming yang (#11)... Ah ming.. Wen siang (#6)... Ah long (#5)... were playing VERY well..ANd all the other players too. KEEP IT UP SHYT!!! EVERYONE PLAYED VERY WELL.

Police Cadets' Gathering

21st of June- A gathering has been organised for the police cadets for the whole country from all four districts, held at the stadium in the Police headquarters, Gadong. And of course gathering, meaning there is marching!! Other than that, there was also a exhibition by the marine police, CID, and more....

It was the last day for work yesterday for a teacher who is leaving st.margaret's school for a new working surrounding (mrs.veronica sia). As i know, she has been in st.margaret's school for more than 20 years (from her years of schooling till working). Therefore, it was a happy and a sad day for her yesterday i guess. She cried...rain were pouring. lol.. Well, she treated all the teachers. Whoever work in st.margaret's school won't get thin easily, cuz there are always nice food to eat!! haaha..when there is any "special day" coming up, lik birthday and more. :D Anyways, good luck to Veron, wish u all the best. We'll meet and play badminton again definitely!! ^.^
